The Good Design Award was established by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 1957, and is currently sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. It is an award given to excellent design every year. This is the only comprehensive evaluation / recommendation mechanism for design in Japan.
Many domestic and foreign companies and designers participate this award as a movement to enhance industry and lifestyle through design.
